Obituary of Ruby Rhodena Josey

Age 90, Halifax, sadly passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020, in QEII Health Sciences Centre with her nieces (Glenda Chittick and Anne Josey-McEachern) by her side. Born in Spry Harbour on June 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Borgal) Josey. She was an employee for many years at Simpsons Sears Department Store. Ruby enjoyed gardening, painting, and arts & crafts. She was also an excellent seamstress. She was predeceased by her siblings, Elsie Josey, Laura Harvey, Sidney Josey, Roxie Liepins, Basil Josey, Ivan Josey, Beulah Josey, Pearl Bollong, Ezilda Mason, Milton Josey, Jean Meier and Cyril Josey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, Sheet Harbour. A graveside service and burial will be held on January 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the church cemetery at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Spry Harbour, everyone is welcome.
