Obituary of Jerome Sinclair Bevis

Age 84 of Trenton, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 surrounded by his loving family in Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Halifax on January 9, 1935, he was a son of the late Samuel and Agatha (Richards) Bevis. Jerome worked for Hub Meat Packers until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching hockey and days at the camp in Mooseland. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen (Behie). Proud dad of Shirley (Harvey) Mitchell, Kelly (Lorraine), Jeff; grandchildren, Colby (Jessica), Kaylin; and great-granddaughter, Kynleigh; brother, Richard, Brookside. He was predeceased by brother, Warren; sisters, Carol, Doris and Shirley. Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Hwy. 7, Sheet Harbour. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 29th at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour, Father Fabian officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. Special thank you to the ICU at Aberdeen Hospital and Dr. Wahab for their excellent care shown to Jerome and the family.
