Oakley, Barbara Gwendolyn- 82 Dartmouth, passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 in the QEII Hospital, Halifax, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Halifax December 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Estella (Boutilier) Oakley both of Halifax. She was a loving devoted mother, thoughtful and generous to both family and friends. She leaves behind daughter Caulette Bezanson (Perry Pye), New Glasgow. Sons; James (Susan) Bezanson, New Chester, Harold (Nancy) Bezanson, East Chezzetcook, Marlow Bezanson (Nicole Fredericks), Lake Charlotte. Grandaughters; Tina, Sherry, Melinda, Stephanie, Emily and Harmony. Grandsons; Keith, Connor and Adam, greatgrandchildren; Molly, Joey, Mikayla, Cody, James, Madeleine, Cameron, Liam, Annalea. Sisters; Rosealie, Nancy, brothers; Michael and Tommy and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Julia, Sylvia, brothers, Joseph, Everette, James and Gordon. Special thanks to her daughter Caulette for her undivided attention to Mom in her final weeks and Mom’s longtime friend Doris Wournell for her care and support. Cremation has taken place. Service for immediate family and friends will take place Wednesday November 14, at 11:00a.m. in St. Peters RC Church, Sheet Harbour, Father Fabian officiating. Burial in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Quoddy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
