Boutilier, Robie Wayne- 84, Spry Bay, it is with great sadness and regret that we announce the death of a loving husband and wonderful father Robie Wayne, November 23, 2024 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Spry Bay September 7, 1940, he was the son of the late Gordon & Leona (Connors) Boutilier. Robie was a loyal employee at Sobeys for a number of years as a meat cutter & meat manager. He then worked at MacKenzie Sales and Sysco food distributors retiring in 2005. Robie and Linda then moved to Spry Bay in 2005, where Robie worked at Foodland part time in the meat department in Sheet Harbour. Robies love for his wife and daughter was like no other. He loved to socialize and share a good story, and a joke here and there. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Linda (Munroe), daughter Amanda, son in-law JP Jones, Victoria BC, grandson Josh (Michelle) and 3 great grandchildren, Victoria BC. brothers; Harold (Bertha), Halifax, Donald (Jeannie), Spry Bay. Predeceased by sister Eva Boutilier. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held Friday November 29, 2024 at 2pm in St. James Anglican Church, Spry Bay Rev. Debra Burleson officiating. Private family burial in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Spry Bay. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
