Obituary of Mark Lloyd Nicholson

Nicholson, Mark Lloyd- 64, of Pleasant Harbour passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2024. Born December 24, 1959 in Kentville he was the son of the late Vernon & Shirley (Cogswell) Nicholson. He was active in sports at a young age, after finishing high school he worked at Dalhousie until he pursued a career with Sobeys where he worked for 33 years, he retired at 55 and enjoyed the last 9 years spending time with his wife, fur babies and family. His passions were hunting, music and hockey, with his favourite team being the Montreal Canadians. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda (Dorey), to whom he was married to for 30 years, his fur babies Bailey and Lilly, his only sister Janet Little (Leonard), Whites Lake, brothers; David, Dartmouth, Peter (Brenda), Beaverbank, Paul (Penny), Bridgewater, several nieces and nephews, mother in-law Gloria Dorey-Kane (Wayne), Alma N.B., brothers in-law Dennis (Kim), Calgary, Dana (Bonita), Ship Harbour. Predeceased by father in-law Harold “Mickey” Dorey, and sister in-law Angela Dorey-Maczka. Cremation has taken place under the direction of DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home.
