Obituary of Earle Harvey McGrath

McGRATH, Earle "Harvey" Age 80, Sheet Harbour, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Quoddy on January 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Rose (Harvey) and Earl McGrath. Harv enjoyed working on vehicles, summer vacations in PEl and spending time with his grandchildren. He left school at a young age and over the course of his life, he worked at various companies driving trucks, including Martell's Construction, Hawes' Trucking and Excavating, and he spent 23 years with the Department of Transportation. His favourite hobby was salvage; he earned the nickname "The Junkyard Dog". He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Boutilier), stepdaughter Sherrilee (Mitch), Sheet Harbour; grandchildren Jacob, Dartmouth; Caleb and Scarlett, both of Sheet Harbour; little buddy Boo (Brian Stevens), Sheet Harbour; sister Margaret Emmett, Dartmouth. Predeceased by sisters Jean, Caroline, Evelyn, Marion. There will be no visitation, burial will be held at a later date.
