Margaret Eileen (Snow) Pilgrim, age 80, of Sheet Harbour passed away on October 28th, 2023 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour Margaret (Margy) was born on December 6th, 1942 in Aguathuna, Newfoundland to the late Maximus and Dorothy (Bungay) Snow. At the young age of 15, she was awarded a full scholarship to attend Memorial University where she studied teaching. She began her career in the Stephenville / Port-aux-Port area where she met Phillip Pilgrim and they married in 1963. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Corner Brook and started their family. They relocated to Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia in 1973, where she continued to teach. Margaret’s greatest love was her family, first and foremost. Another love was gardening, where she spent countless hours cultivating her impressive flowers, shrubs, and trees. She was fiercely competitive when it came to playing Trivial Pursuit, and usually won. Baking, knitting, and the New York Times' Crossword were favorite pastimes, with the music of Elvis and Fats Domino playing in the background. She also enjoyed travelling and often met up with Phil when he worked abroad in far-off places. Margaret’s faith played an integral role in her life as an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Sheet Harbour. Margaret is survived by her husband Philip; her children Kimberley (Giovanni), Sean (Sarah), and Philip (Janet); her granddaughter Adrianna; her brother Maximus (Peggy) and her sister Florence. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Patrick and sisters Blanche and Anita. A visitation will be held at D.S.
