Obituary of James Wallace Barnard

Barnard James Wallace 78, Ecum Secum West died Monday, August 7, 2023, in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital Sherbrooke. Born June 24, 1945, in Ecum Secum West he was a son of the late Henry and Laura (Bezanson)Barnard. Jim was one of 17 children. He enjoyed his time on the ocean where he was a self-employed fisherman for 59 years. He also worked in construction work for a short time. He enjoyed painting buoys and took great pride in splitting and stacking his hardwood where he would measure each pile as he went along. Survived by his wife of 55 years Liz and also the many special family and friends he had over the years. Predeceased by his infant son Duncan. Visitation will be held Saturday August 26 at his home 1424 South Shore Rd, Ecum Secum West 2-4 and 6-8 prayers at 7:30. Ashes will be scattered at a later date.
