MacDonald, Daniel Alvin- June 14, 1955-February 12, 2023 It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to our wonderful brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend. Dan passed away peacefully surrounded by many loved ones at the Lakebridge Health Hospital, Oshawa, Ont. Dan leaves behind daughter Jennifer Marriot, Scarborough, siblings; Garth Spears, Ontario, Sandra (Ronald) Robar, Bridgewater, Joe Kellar, Orangeville, Bev (Gavin) Hartling, Malay Falls, Peter Kellar, Peterborough, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father Alvin MacDonald, Lochaber Mines, mother Shirley (Flemming) Wright, Middle Musquodoboit, step-mother Patricia Green, Lochaber Mines, sisters Irene “Rene” Griffin, Scarborough and Faith Kellar, Oshawa. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring doctors and nurses who took such great care of Dan in the palliative care unit. Also a heartfelt thank you to his friends Cal & Mary Porto and puppy Cosmo, our angels here on earth who loved and cared for Dan. A graveside committal will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at 2p.m. in St. James United Cemetery, Lochaber Mines, Verna Scott officiating. Donations in Dan’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James United Church, Lochaber Mines. Online condolences may be directed to www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
