GG, Great Grandma to Fawn. You were there for her when she was just a wee one and made sure you chatted with her often through the last 6 years. You will miss her birthday this year but I know you will be looking down and protecting her. Thank you for the good times and laughs. We had a great visit for John’s 50th. I was double glad I was able to send him for your 80th!! I’m glad you got to see each other! I only wish we all could have come. Love you and miss you.

Miss you GG, love Fawn.
Cecile, GG, Mom...it was a pleasure meeting you way back in 2016 for John 50th! We enjoyed having you out here and would have loved to have you come again. Thank you for all the supportive chats we had and a lot of laughs (often at John's expense) I will miss you with all my heart. It saddens me to think that I wont see you again. I wish I had been able to make that trip with John for your birthday but am SOOOOO glad he was able to make it. I love you and will see you on the other side. Peace. ❤️

Grandma,
Where to begin. I still cannot believe you’re gone. I am so glad we got to come out and surprise you for your birthday. That will be a lasting memory and a very happy memory.
I will be missing your phone calls so very much. Harper is already missing speaking French to you, she will make sure she keeps up speaking it just for you.
It saddens me that Rory won’t remember much but the stories we will tell him! And the hats and slippers we have for him are endless. I will miss receiving your knitted items. Maybe I’ll take up knitting, wish I would have learned from you.
Grandma, you are loved and missed dearly. Forever in our hearts and minds. love you always,
Heather, Shane, Harper and Rory

Grandma, forever in our hearts , Gone but will never be forgotten!
So many fond memories growing up, although we haven’t seen you as much over the past few years the love we have for you never changed.
Could always look forward to warm hand made hats and slippers for Christmas and never missed a call for birthdays!
I think back to when we were kids and this one memory or quote keeps popping up- “ Go in tere and brush your teet we are going owies” Translation “ Go in there and brush your teeth we are going to Howies”
I wish we could’ve had more time with you but take solace in knowing we have a guardian angel looking over us now!
Love you forever and always

I thought a lot the last fews days about your mom. I remember the holidays we spent together, the things she made for my girls. I think of Farmville we played together, and how serious she took it, she even had a schedule on the wall. I remember how much she loved angels and she has become one. I know she will be watching over her loved ones.

Having a best friend is a rare and awesome gift, one that keeps giving over the course of a lifetime. And while in many cases a best friend can be your partner – or even your dog or cat – there is something unique and amazing about building up a human connection outside your family.
Friendship brings you up when you’re down, inspires you when you’re in a rut, and best friends offer you more than support; they also provide an opportunity to give as well as to receive. Indeed, sometimes, there’s nothing better than a friend who needs your help!
Many of us have treated our best friend the way we want to be treated ourselves, a habit that can enrich your life in incredible ways. Best friends can seem to hold the world together for us, and in a way they are like a four leaf clover: hard to find, and a sign of good fortune!
Your best friend is someone you should support through thick and thin, no matter what. And because a best friend is something hard to find in this world, if you’ve got one or more in your life, hold on tight!
There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship. Kaye Jewers & Marilyn Langille

My Hero - By Angelica Maynard November 4, 2009 Language Arts 8-02 Mrs. Mitchells Class.
My personal hero is someone who loves me with all her heart. Even though she has an awful back and legs, she is always there for me and her family. That person is my grandma. She has many amazing qualities and some of them are respect, support and being close to who ever her old tender heart touches. She is supportive because when you say you can't she always tells you, that you can and to just try a little harder next time. She also always tells you 'good job', 'nice work' or 'you're doing great', even when you do an awful job. It's nice to have someone so supportive and makes you feel good whenever she can. I love her so much. My hero always watches out for me so I won't get hurt and she has been m babysitter for most of my life and I loved it when I was small, but from the ages of ten to twelve it was a bit weird to be there every other day. During that period of time we became very close to one another. Why we were so close was because we did everything together, from shopping to going out of town. One time we even went to Nova Scotia together, it was hard to keep our cool sometimes, but we managed anyway. All these reasons are why my grandma is my hero. There are many, many more but these are the most important ones to me. When she leaves this world I would wish it was me because I love her that much!

To the family of Cecile I would like to express my sincere condolences on her passing. I’m choosing to leave a happy note in your book.
It was about a month ago that Tina and I went on one of our shopping trips also taking Cecile back home after a visit with Tina and Blair. We took Cecile to superstore to get her a few items to take home. Tina always tried to get her mom to eat healthier but Cecile wasn’t much for that lol. Her and I were going down a aisle (snack aisle) and I was holding her arm to walk with her. We kept pointing at all the goodies that she loved but new she couldn’t pick them up. We giggled as we talked about milk chocolate and other sweets and as always when we got Cecile back to her apt and we helped put her groceries away before we left we get a hug. A hug so tight you no she cares about you.
I will forever smile when I go down the snack aisle thinking about our child like laugh at superstore.

It’s hard to believe the world is without you.
I’ll cherish every memory we shared from when I was baby to now.
One of my favourite memories I’ve been told about was my adventure across the apartment parking lot by myself when I was toddler to get Caesar salad. I might have scared mom, but I got my salad!
I love thinking of our adventures together from when you lived in Newfoundland to when we visited Nova Scotia.
Grandmas are a special gift to families. A matriarch and beacon of knowledge. You were one the greatest gifts I could have asked for.
I will forever miss your smile, your hugs and stories. I love you Grandmama ❤️

I was blown away at her 80th birthday party just a few short months ago. It was many layers of surprises for everyone there, from a surprise visit from granddaughter Heather and her children Harper and Rory who came from Newfoundland, to the surprise to Cecile of the party it self. And the whole family surprised by a very secretive visit from her son John from British Columbia. Imagine her emotions on that day she was happy, in shock and just could not believe that so many people had come to celebrate it with her. Barry and I were honoured to be invited and attend.
What a very special day for Cecile, John, Tina, Connie, all the grandchildren, who attended and those who video attended, and all the great grandchildren other family and friends. Rest easy my friend your family will take care of each other. Memories are forever
