Dear Karen and family: We are so grateful that your parents were our ‘neighbours ‘ in Ecum Secum. Their home was always open to all of the Bishop Bunch, and there are quite a few of us. Your Dad was always there to give a helping hand, and your Mom provided us with her wonderful baking. No one could make date squares and brownies like your Mom. The rhubarb plants she gave me so long ago are still producing and have been shared with many neighbours. Her advice about getting rid of ants in the cupboard by using mint was spot on. Her pattern for a round dishcloth has been made too many times to count. Your Mom, and your Dad as well, hold a special place in our memories. They will never be forgotten.
