Memories of Arlene go back to when they purchased my Nanny Lena’s home on Sober Island … I thoroughly enjoyed our chats on the days our paths happen to cross .. often it was not by accident as she would drop by the store just pay a visit and have a chat. . I loved her zest for travel, her determination and independent nature. So often I would laugh and ask her .. Road Runner or Energizer Bunny?? …. .. ..knowing in my heart she was a mixture of both. Our condolences to her Family, Friends and Neighbours.

I met Arlyne a few months ago at Parkland. She was my sisters neighbour there i always stopped to chat with Arlyene. She was a bright light in Seton wing.. She will be missed.

We are sorry to hear of Arlynes passing. She was a very good friend of my Mom's for many years while living on Sober Island. I always enjoyed a little chat with her when we crossed paths. Our condolences to the Orr family. Arlyne was a fabulous neighbour and not one to take lightly. We used to call her our “Road Runner, she and my sister Judy traveled the #7, on many occasions and loved every minute of it. We will miss you Arlyne you looked out for us and we likewise. We know you are with your beloved Pop and that makes it easier for those you left behind. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
