Butler, Doris Emily- 82, Moser River died Sunday February 19, 2023 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born in Necum Teuch June 27, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Harvey & Doris (Hill) Smith. Doris lived in Sackville for 22 years, while there she was employed with Otis Elevator. They moved to Moser River in 1980 where she worked as a postmistress until her retirement. After retirement her and Dick enjoyed a trip across Canada in their camper. She spent many enjoyable years in Moser River picking May Flowers on her long walks, she also enjoyed crossword puzzles and cryptograms. Doris was kind hearted and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, she loved to see everyone happy. Survived by her husband of 64 years Richard “Dick”, children; Sharon Legalley, Glen Haven, Janet (Jack) Reid, River John, Richard (Annie), Moser River, Michael (Erin), Quoddy, Scott (Tammy), Sackville, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and daughter in law Donna, Port Dufferin. Predeceased by son Larry, brothers Victor & Edgar Smith. Cremation has taken place, visitation will be held Sunday February 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 with prayers at 7 all in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. A family burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Northwood Homecare girls for their excellent care in Moser River, Harbourview Lodge for their compassion and tender loving care.
