Mary Lillian Louise Marshall of Sheet Harbour passed away on December 23rd in the Aberdeen Hospital palliative care unit. She was 90 years old. She is survived by her siblings Minnie, Janet, Thelma, Stanley, Frank, Michael, Johnny & Jimmy; her children Clarence (Jay), Wendy (Tom), Gary, Pam (Sandy) and Raymond, as well as her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by husband Richard, as well as half siblings Scott, Alex, Elmer, Charles, Raymond and Annie; siblings Harold, Giles, Dennis, Garnet, Richard and Margaret. Mary Marshall was born on Oct 12 1932 in Watt Section, Sheet Harbour, to parents Baker Holman and Florence Munroe. Mary was an avid painter & craftsperson. She made, packaged and sold barbie clothes from her driveway which brought business from along the Eastern Shore. In the 1980s and early 90s she successfully owned and operated Woodland Pinecraft, a crafts and furniture store in Sheet Harbour. Mary is remembered fondly for her love of animals, picnics, crafts, fishing, card games and mischief. Many thanks to Crowell's funeral home the staff of Harbourview lodge who cared for her and Richard until their passing and treated them as family. Visitation will be held from 11am-1:30pm on Dec 28th at DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour, the funeral service will be held immediately after at St James Church in Port Dufferin at 2pm. Interment at St. Andrew's cemetery Watt Section followed by a reception at the Legion in Sheet Harbour.
