Hawes, Stuart Faron- 67, Spry Harbour, On May 15, 2021 we lost a kind and loving devoted husband, father, grampy, brother, uncle and friend to many due to a sudden heart attack. Stuart was the seventh son and last child born on Valentines Day, February 14, 1954 to the late Stanley & Edith (Gerrard) Hawes of Spry Harbour. He had been retired 13 years from Department of Transportation, Spry Bay Depot as a grader operator who took great pride in his daily work. His interests in life included hunting, fishing, darts, archery, baseball, gardening shared to family and local community members, antique cars of which he and his wife owned a 73’ super beetle taking home many trophies and most dedicated the last few years spoiling and enjoying his two princess granddaughters Sophie and Adalyn. He also loved old country music, watching his favourite Montreal Canadians and Blue Jays faithfully, games, fishing and hunting shows and supper hour news channels along with his wife and yarning with many friends. He is survived by loving and devoted wife of 45 years Bliss (Borgal), son Chauncey Quinn (Candace Broussard), two granddaughters Sophie Quinn (age 6), Adalyn Marie (age 3), siblings Lois (Donald) Goodfellow, Rita (Ray) Webb, Connie (Richie) Owen, Velda (late George) LeFrank, Brenda (late Terry) Mason, Darlene (late Herbie) Whitman, Sheldon (Faye) Hawes, godchildren Jasen Whitman and Tara (Hawes) Tanton, father in law Jack (late Helen) Borgal, sister in laws Georgina Hawes, Jocelyn (Borgal) Colwell (Ed Plomp) many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Faron Kurt 25 years ago on June 1, 1996, siblings Wallace (late Ada) Hawes, Cora (late Gordon) Abriel, Curtis (late Ann) Hawes, Sherman (late Connie) Hawes, Orrin (late Darlene) Hawes, David Hawes, niece Cindy (LeFrank) Palmer. Cremation has taken place under the direction of DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, Sheet Harbour. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a funeral will be held at a later date. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
