Obituary of Hubert Murray Boutilier

Age 94, Mushaboom died suddenly on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at home. Born in Mushaboom on December 2, 1926, he was a son of the late Clarence and Nora (Boutilier) Boutilier. Hubert started fishing with his father at an early age. He also worked in the woods, which he loved as much as fishing. He loved to work, no matter what it was doing. He retired in the 90's from fishing. During his retirement, he enjoyed card parties, woodworking and gardening. He was a member of St. Paul's Church and was a past warden. He was very well-liked and respected in the community, always willing to help his neighbours when he could. Survived by sons, Howard (Pam), Cupids, N.L.; Hughie (Lisa), Tim (Shawne), Dale (Bernadette), all of Mushaboom; brother, Harold, Popes Harbour; grandson, Shaun (Jacquie), Mushaboom; two granddaughters and three great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Corey, Melody and Tiffany; sister, Thelma Cox; and brothers, Almon, Godfrey, Daley, Daniel and Ronald in infancy.
