Pace (Pye), Karen Louise- 70, Dartmouth formerly of Marie Joseph passed away peacefully March 23, 2021 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born September 9, 1950 in Ecum Secum she was a daughter of the late Lorne & Esther (Jewers) Pye. Karen loved her grandchildren most of all, along with playing darts and visiting the casino. She enjoyed her many walks along the waterfront and travels with girlfriends. She is survived by sons Douglas (Dianne), Marie Joseph, Farley (Jane), Dartmouth, grandchildren; Corey, Billy, Mateo, Jessica, Christopher, Tyler, Michael, Aiden, Hannah, and Casey, siblings; Jerry (Marion), Ottawa, Brenda (Gerry), Ecum Secum, Thelma, Dartmouth, Marlene (David), Dartmouth, Sally (Bernie), Ecum Secum, Michael (Anne), Ecum Secum, Cathy, Ottawa and many nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by the love of her life husband Farley, siblings Cyril, Laurie, Bernadette and Susan in infancy. A private family visitation will be held Sunday March 28 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Ecum Secum Chapel with a graveside committal to follow at 2p.m. in St. Mathews Anglican Cemetery, Marie Joseph. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. Special thanks to Greta and the doctors and nurses at Dartmouth General. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
