Obituary of Alice Maude Boutilier

Age 90, Mushaboom, passed away September 16, 2020 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born October 24, 1929 in Spry Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Josey) Henley. She worked at Moirs Chocolate in Halifax and Abriel Fisheries until she started fishing with her husband in the later years. Alice was a proud mother and grandmother, loved visits from her family and friends, enjoyed all her grandchildren, making pickles and sharing them with all who came to visit. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survived by sons, Grant (Faye), Garnet (Darlene) Boutilier; daughter, Bonnie MacKenzie; grandchildren, Kevin, Shelly, Holly, Melissa, Brent; great- grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Autumn and Gregory; several great great- grandchildren; brother, Elmer (Sharon) Henley; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Harvey; daughters, Wanda, Donna and Kaye Kirker; brothers Arnold, Sidney; sisters, Rose, Norma, Isa. A private family graveside service will be held Monday September 21st at 2 p.m. in St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery, Mushaboom Rev. Lorraine Otto officiating. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Harbourview Lodge for the wonderful care they provided Alice. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
