Obituary of Shirley Louise Levy

Age 87, Sober Island, passed away Monday August 3, 2020 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born August 6, 1932 on Sober Island, she was a daughter of the late John and Mildred (Harnish) Logan. Shirley was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she put her family first before herself. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, her flower gardens, sewing clothing for her children, and preparing wonderful meals for her family. She also used to enjoy knitting lobster mitts for her husband. Survived by children, Janet, Hammonds Plains; Dale (Donna), Gary (Lori), both of Sober Island; grandchildren, Deanna, Scott, Daniel, Amanda, Cliff; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Aubree, Maia and Kinsley; brother, Harold (Brenda), Sober Island. Predeceased by husband, Vernon; brothers, Elmo, Lloyd, Donald, Duncan, Charles, Granville, Eric; and sisters, Jeanetta Spears, Janet Rose in infancy. Cremation has taken place; a graveside service will be held Saturday, August 8th at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's Anglican Cemetery, Sober Island, Rev. Gary Barr officiating. Family flowers only, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to Diabetes Canada. The family would like to thank the staff of Harbourview Lodge for the care and compassion shown to Shirley and her family when she was a resident there.
