Obituary of Larry David Butler
Butler, Larry David- 53, Port Dufferin passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish ,after a short illness, with his loving family by his side. Born in Halifax, March 28, 1966 he was a son of Richard and Doris (Smith) Butler. Larry worked at many trades in his life. The last 10 years he was a fisherman’s helper lobster fishing. Larry was a very social person and could make friends where ever he went. He enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time at the camp on the Jersey Road. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna; sons, David (Amelia), Middle Stewiacke and Shaun (Lisa), Porters Lake and their children; siblings, Janet (Jack) Reid, River John, Richard (Annie), Moser River, Michael (Erin),East Quoddy and Scott (Tammy), Sackville; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2-4 pm in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the nurses at the palliative care team at St. Martha’s for their compassion and kindness shown to Larry and his family. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
