WESTHAVER, Howard Earl- 82, Sober Island, passed away  Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born in Watt Section, February 14, 1937 he was a son of the late Earl and Isabel (Dunn)  Westhaver.  He worked at  Ford Canada in Ontario retiring after 29 years. He loved to watch car racing, especially Dale Earnhart and he was an avid Montreal Canadian fan. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Carrie (Munroe); son, Elver (Cathy); granddaughter, Sarah-Lynn (Jeff Dunlap); grandson, Matthew (Mary Kate) Westhaver; great grandsons, Ayden, Damien, Kearon;  great granddaughter, Maya Dunlop;  brother-in-laws, Ramey (Ruby) Munro and Wayne Thompson;  sisters in law, Clara Dunn, Helena (Cecil) Daye, Charlotte (Stan) Hitchman, Sharon Clarke, Patricia (Daniel MacDonald) and Linda (Peter) Connors; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Predeceased by brother, George, sister in laws, Darlene Thompson and Sandra Fearon.  Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held Friday, December 13th at 2 pm in the Sheet Harbour Legion, Watt Section. Burial at a later date. Many Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow and Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital ,Sheet Harbour and to Crowells Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke.
