Publicover, Violet Elizabeth- 85, West Quoddy died August 29,2023 in Bissett Court, Dartmouth. Born in Quoddy July 28, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Ira and Hattie (MacDonald) Hartling. Violet worked at Moirs Chocolates in her earlier years followed by working in the cafeteria at Gaetz Brook Junior High School. She enjoyed cards, bingo, and baking and cooking for family and friends. She loved to go dancing, also gardening, four wheeling and camping. Violet is survived by children, Wanda Keating and Kevin, both of Chezzetcook; grandchildren, Nichole, Michelle, Douglas, Morgan, Matthew and Hayley; great grandchildren, Mila, Hendrix, Scarlett and Remington. Predeceased by husband, Edgar, daughter, Wendy, companion, Russell Bezanson and brother Victor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 7-9 PM with prayers at 7:30 pm in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, September 7 in St. James Anglican Church, Port Dufferin, Rev. Mike Foley officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Violet’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
