Boutilier, Alton Gordon- 88, Dartmouth passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Ocean View Manor,EasternPassage. Born in Mushaboom, September 24, 1933 he was a son of the late Gordon and Della (Dillman) Boutilier. Alton went fishing with his Dad until his early twenties. He then went to the Canadian Artic and worked on the Distant Early Warning Radar Line for a period of time. Alton spent most of his life in Toronto. He worked for Canada Post as a Mail Courier. He also worked as a part time Home Renovator. After his later years of Retirement, Alton returned to his native home of Nova Scotia. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities and being with family and friends. Survived by sisters, Joyce Baker(Windsor), Helen (Anthony) Gillis, Sheet Harbour; brothers, Felix (Eva), Lower Sackville, Foster (Diane) Sault Ste. Marie, Ont; sisters in laws, Rosemary Boutilier ,Mushaboom, Patricia Boutilier, Lower Sackville and Eva Boutilier, SheetHarbour; many nieces and nephews and cousins .He was predeceased by sisters, Eldora Logan and Jessie Boutilier, Ester Boutilier, Sheila MacIntosh, ; brothers, Oliver, Howard, Douglas, Harvey, Alvin, Paul,Wilfred and Brian; sister Ada and two brothers and one sister in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 2pm, Monday August 30, 2021 in St. Michaels Anglican Cemetery, Sheet Harbour, Rev. Trish Ingram officiating. Family flowers only.
