FRASER John Alexander 82 Harrigan Cove died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at Windsor Elms, Windsor, N.S. Born December 10, 1937 he was a son of the late Gordon & Josephine (O’Leary) Fraser. John Started his working career at age 15 driving a truck for Ted Watt, then went and worked on Sable Island for 2 years, he worked at the IPC Store where he met Lillian and they were married April 9, 1959. John was a lobster fisherman and owned his own business John A Fraser & Son Confectionary Truck were he served the area’s from Jeddore to Port Bickerton, was well known as the candy man. He was a farmer and had a great love for horses, which he passed to his own children, he loved hockey and baseball and also passed his love of baseball to his children and grandchildren. John was fire chief for over 20 years at Moser River Volunteer Fire Dept and a member of Moser River Board of Trade and helped with the building of the Moser River Community Center. Survived by his wife of 61 years Lillian, children Juanita (Robie) Cooper, Dartmouth, Sherry Lee (Mark) Holley, Spry Bay, Sandy (Venita) Harrigan Cove, Linda (Kevin) Guthro, Lochaber Mines, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, predeceased by grandson Joel, sister Gaye Kennedy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home. No visitation or funeral by request.
