Obituary of Derrick Reginald Chittick

Chittick, Derrick Reginald- it is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Derrick Reginald, our son, spouse, stepfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Derrick was born in Halifax on July 23, 1964 to Glenda (Mason) Chittick and the late Warren Chittick. Derrick was self employed for many years in the construction excavation industry, most recently working with Beaver Bank Resources. He is survived by his loving spouse Michelle (Gladys), stepsons Michael, Jason (Andrea) and Emma, devoted mother Glenda, brother Darren (Muriel), nephew Brian along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins all whom enjoyed Derricks humour and amazing personality. He will be dearly missed by his cat Misty. Derrick was predeceased by his father Warren, grandparents Reg and Ezilda Mason, Fred and Mary Chittick and numerous other family members. The late Derrick Chittick will rest in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour on Friday September 4 from 11a.m. – 1:30p.m. due to government regulations masks are required while in the building. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00p.m. in St. Andrews Anglican Cemetery, Spry Harbour Rev. Lorraine Otto officiating, everyone welcome. Family flowers only.
