Phillip's family:
I was so sorry to read of Phillip's passing,we spent years competing against each
other on the ballfield. It was always an exciting day whenever we drove to Ecum Secum to play or the eagles came up to Spry Harbour to play. Phillip was a great competitor but an even better sport and good guy.
I would run into Phillip over the years after leaving the shore and we would have great conversations
about our playing days. Betty you were always a number one fan of the eagles but good sport with all your ribbing.
Darla and family my deepest condolences,Phillip was a good man and far too young to have passed, may
your cherished memories and fun times help to ease the pain of your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad and difficult time.
Kind Regards:
Charlie A. Verge

Dear Darla and family,
I am sure it seems the grief will never end - which means his life held great significance, not only to you but to all those whose lives he touched. His humour and dancing abilities will certainly be missed. I pray the ache in your heart will be replaced by great memories and your home be filled with God’s peace in the midst of the storm.. Although it is a difficult time in the world right now this will change and we can all meet again to share our stories.

Very sad to hear this. If there was one thing you could count on, it was Phillip making you laugh when you needed it. He was a great help to my mom and step dad over the years . So sorry for your loss.

To The Family
Thinking of all of you during this sad time. Great memories of Phillip at the Ecum Secum Ball Field - (Betty you were always there to cheer the boys on!) and the Moser River Teen Club Dances at the St. Andrew's United Church Basement, Moser River. He could dance the night away! I know we all have our special memories of Phillip. Share them often so he will live on through us!
God Bless you all,
Gordon & Molly Gammon

Phil was one of the best people I met in my life. I thought a lot of him, as he was such a kind and loving man, and a devoted father and husband that was admired. I know my kids loved him so, and thought of him like a dad too. He was so funny at times, and had many laughs, either on the field, or at their house, or camping. My deepest condolences to Darla, Lindsay Ann, Ryan and family. God bless you all and hugs. RIP Phil xoxo

Darla and family,
We are so very sorry to hear about Phillip's passing. He was always lots of fun, quick to laugh, and good at sports. I remember a long-ago bowling game in which he single-handedly boosted our team's score to respectability. (It's the only time I've ever seen someone throw ten strikes in a row!)
We will keep you in our thoughts in the difficult days to come.

So sad to hear of Phillip’s passing. He was a memorable friend from all those years ago growing up, always smiling with a great sense of humor, always kind and an all round great guy to be around. Even though we didn’t stay in touch I always considered us friends and even when our paths crossed by happenstance our conversations always seemed to pick up where they left off the last time. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Darla and family. My sincere condolences go out to you on the passing of Phil. He was a great man, always smiling. He had a great sense of humor. About a month ago he was in the yard so I stopped to talk to him. I told him how good he looked, (even though he lost quite a bit of weight). He came back with "I don't look good, look I got a turkey neck". I said "so, so do I". He got a good laugh out of that. I referred to him as my handyman since he helped me with things that needed to be done around my house. He was always there to help someone in need. Rest easy Phil. You will be missed.
