Obituary of Douglas Howard Boutilier

Douglas Howard Boutilier Hillsvale, Hants Co., NS It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, who lost his battle with cancer on August 22, 2026 at the age of 73. Born in Sheet Harbour December 16, 1952, he was the son of the late Francis and Howard Boutilier. He is survived by his wife, Corinne; daughters Cheyenne (Evan), Alecia (Justin), and Krystle; Grandchildren, Ashton, Rihanna, Kody, Patrick, Brandon, Traci, Mya and Nathanial; Great grandchildren, Landen, Roman, Holden, and Tiana; sisters, Margaret, Dorothy and Kaye; step brothers, Danny, and Alvin; step sisters, Erlene, Caroline and Beatrice; Special nephew, Darren (Verlie), sister-in-law Heather (Chris) and many loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather Alvin; brother Gordon; and half brother Jimmy. Doug was known for his love of Mustangs, yard sales, bike runs, his beloved pets Xena and Tigger, and anything that included spending time with his family. His famous saying “brand-hammer new”will forever live on. As in Doug’s last words, he will be loved, remembered and missed “forever and a day.” A special heartfelt, thank you to Dr. Williams and the wonderful caring nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, Nova Scotia. Your compassion will always be appreciated and never forgotten. Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, Sheet Harbour, NS. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 26, 2026 at 2 pm at 78 Mackenzie Lane, East Uniacke, NS. All are welcome!
