Obituary of Bernard Calvin Leroy Publicover

Publicover, Bernard Calvin Leroy “Bernie”- 81 of Ecum Secum passed away suddenly Saturday August 1, 2026 at Highcrest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke. Born in Ecum Secum Bridge July 25, 1945 he was a son of the late Calvin & Lucy (Turner) Publicover and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Bernie left home as a teenager to go work on a farm with the Eaton family in Lower Cunard apple orchard and vegetable farm for 30 + years. Bernie loved the outdoors and loved to hunt rabbits and deer. He liked to fish for mackerel and trout. He enjoyed card parties and could often be seen with his hands full of mayflowers for his mom. Bernie had a great sense of humor and liked to carry on and joke around with everyone he knew. Survived by brother-in-law Donnie Pye, nephews Trevor and Harold Pye, nieces Maria Pye and Susie (Jody) Jewers. Several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers; Kendall and Loman, sisters; Crystal and Sharon, grandparents; Sydney and Sadie Turner and William and Naomi Publicover. There will be no visitation or funeral by request.
