Obituary of Keitha Merrill Rudolph

RUDOLPH (PYE), KEITHA MERRILL - 56, Dartmouth passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, July 20, 2026 in the QE11 Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Sheet Harbour, September 26, 1969 she was a daughter of Sandra (MacDonald) Dort and the late Keith Pye. After high school, Keitha went to Vocational School to take accounting, and later on attended Nova Scotia Community College where she received her certificate in Office Information Technology that she was very proud of. She worked a short time with Fire and Emergency, also employed doing housekeeping and babysitting. Keitha enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, needle work, and knitting. She especially loved knitting for children and gifting her knitted items. She enjoyed playing cribbage and cards, listening to country music, and going to local concerts. She also loved animals and wildlife. More than anything, Keitha’s pride and joy was being a mother and raising her daughters. Survived by her mother, Sandra, partner, Chuck Martin, daughters, Courtney, Sarah (Nick Joy) both of Dartmouth, sisters, Sherry (Michael) Kenney, Sheet Harbour, Stacey Dort, Dartmouth, nieces, Samantha, Emily and nephew, Daniel. Predeceased by stepfather, Roger Dort, maternal grandparents, Bert and Sadie (Barkhouse) MacDonald and paternal grandparents, Noble and Gretta (Bernard) Pye, and her fur baby Franky. Cremation has taken place and upon request there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside committal for family and close friends will be held 2pm Tuesday , July 28, 2026, in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Port Dufferin. Rev. Mike Foley officiating.
