To Cynthia’s family, I am sending my deepest condolences and love. Cyn and I met on a beach in Honduras about 10 years ago. One warm Canadian hello from her and we were instant friends. We became dive buddies, soul sisters, and I hoped that someday we would settle near each other in retirement. We had such adventures in the few times we were able to be in the same place. I thought it was so cool that she was a seawoman! She was such a tough but sweet as ever, truly great human being. When we got a chance to catch up, hours on the phone flew by. She loved you all so much. I am so heartbroken. May she rest in peace

I met Cynthia when she arrived at the Holland College Marine Training Centre in 2013 to study for her Watchkeeping Mate. She loved a good chat and was always a pleasure to have around the school. I admired the passion she had for working at sea and she studied hard to obtain all her courses! My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

I can not express the sorrow I feel for your shocking loss of such a special lady and my dear, dear friend. The last time I spoke with her she was cheery and happy and a bit sassy, as always. I would like to say I'm sorry to all of the family. I met Cindy in High School and we were Friendly and then after High school we became friends when she lived in Eastern Passage. I ended up renting a store from her and we started talking then again and became good friends. Cindy was a sweet person who always checked in just to say Hi. She was funny and was a quick witted person. We haven't talked in a long time but I always thought we would see each other again. I can't believe I won't talk to her again. Cindy may you rest in peace my friend.

Lottie, Albert, and Families of Cindy: Heartfelt condolences on the loss of Cindy. She was called home way to early. I didn't know Cindy in later years; however, after reading her obiturary I can see that she had a very full and adventuresome life. You both were great parents that raised a beautiful soul. To the family,I met Cindy in the early 2000,s when she live at fisherman cove.Got to know her at the coffee shop “Seagulps” next door.She was also a shopper at the grocery store I worked at and even when she went to sea when she was in port I would always have a chat at work.Such a kind lovely lady.My sincere condolences.

Albert Lottie & families I was heartbroken to hear of Cindy’s passing. So many memories flooded me from being a young girl and growing up amongst your family with her to buying my first home from Cindy years later. Then meeting her again with her vivacious smile and telling me of her life change and how she truly enjoyed her sea life.

We were so very sad to hear about Cindy’s passing. She was a very good friend to me at a very bad time in my life when I desperately needed one and I’ll never forget her. She introduced me to my husband Paul for which I am so grateful. She was a kind person and loved to travel so we’re happy she got to achieve a career that she loved and allowed her to do so.
