Obituary of Christine Louise Webb

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Louise Webb, age 69, of Mushaboom, who passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Sheet Harbour, Christine was a daughter of Lottie (Boutilier) Beaver and the late Harold Beaver. Christine began her working career as an office clerk with Maritime Tel & Tel. Over the years, she held many positions throughout the community, including with East Coast Credit Union, Barry Gerrard’s Lobster Pound, and the cafeteria at the local school in Sheet Harbour. She also kept the books for the family business, Webb’s Service Center, for many years. A dedicated volunteer, Christine faithfully served for 20 years as treasurer of the Mushaboom Fire Hall. She could often be found tending the bar, helping with bingo, and lending a hand at countless community events. She also volunteered for a number of years with Girl Guides of Canada. Christine enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved dancing, reading, fishing, camping, and travelling. One of her favourite pastimes was going on side-by-side adventures with Lawrence, including a recent memorable trip to Newfoundland. She also cherished travelling in the trucks with Lawrence, and among her many travels, her trip to Hawaii remained a special highlight. Christine will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lawrence; her children, Karen (Paul) Monk, Nick Quirk (Marianne Walsh), Marcie (Koal) Casler, Laura Webb (Tony Meisner), Pamela (Tim) Adams, and Kristian Webb; her treasured grandchildren, Zoe, Damion, Lyndon, Chase, Drew, Riley, Kolby, Alyah, and Jasper, and her beloved mother, Lottie. Besides her father, Christine was predeceased by her brother, Blake. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mushaboom Community Center, 22 Powers Road, Mushaboom. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Christine’s memory may be made to the Mushaboom Community Center.
