I have fond memories of Christine as an adorable little girl. Then both David and I remember her fondly as a student when she was a teenager. More recently, we appreciated her dedication and hard work she devoted to the Mushaboom Community Centre.

I remember Christine as a kind, loving, and welcoming woman. She was incredibly proud of her family and her children, and it showed in everything she did.
Whenever we came to town, Christine always made time to visit with us and made us feel right at home. One story that has always stayed with me was about one of her children jumping across the ice floes on the ocean. While others were concerned and upset about it afterward, Christine remained calm and confident in her child's abilities, reassuring everyone that everything was okay.
That was Christine—steady, trusting, and able to take life in stride.
She had a laid-back nature and a quiet strength that put others at ease. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family will always be remembered.
Christine will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her entire family during this difficult time.

Christine was always there to help with the Mackerel Derby and any other event that was taking place at the Mushaboom Community Centre. She will be forever missed and loved by everyone that knew her.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
