Ronald Charles Cers, age 87, of Sheet Harbour and formerly of Vancouver, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Ron was born in Hong Kong on December 4, 1939, to Katharina Braungard and Hamilcar Cers. As a young boy, he immigrated with his family to Canada, where he built a life marked by love, adventure, and devotion to family.
In 1962, Ron married the love of his life, Suzanne Mitchell. Together they shared 64 wonderful years filled with travel, companionship, and enduring love.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne Massey (Mitchell) Cers, and by his sister, Edna Cers of Sweden. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly, in infancy.
Respecting Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to thank all those who offered kindness and support during this difficult time.
