It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Andy, April 8 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax March 30, 1964 he was a son of the late Guy Lionel "Darb" Parks and Emma Marie (Frost). Andy was a quiet man that lived a simple life. In his younger years Andy was a self-taught body builder, he loved the sport of fencing and playing guitar. He attended St. Francis Xavier University and was diagnosed with schizophrenia and in his last years with cancer. He was predeceased by brothers Bill, Gary and brother-in-law Wilfred Bond. His is survived by his brother Steven (Sherry) Spry Bay, sister Caroline, Porters Lake and sister-in-law Jenny, Dartmouth. Andy will be missed by his family and the staff of his “family” at Glen Harbour Manor. Special thanks to Carol Steward, Jennifer Perrerl for always having Andy’s best interest at heart. Also, thank you to the palliative care team at Dartmouth General Hospital and D.S Crowell & Son Funeral Home. A grave side service will be held on Saturday April 25 at 2:00pm at the St. James United Church in Lochaber Mines followed by a reception at the church.
