Obituary of Kerry Reynolds Miller
Please share a memory of Kerry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Kerry Reynolds Miller, aged 67, on March 28th, 2026 in her home in the Town of Pictou.
Kerry was born in Sheet Harbour on May 7, 1958. She lived a life rich in experience and shaped by her own will, thoughtfully woven together like a beautiful quilt, each piece reflecting her independence, creativity, and strength.
In her early adult life, Kerry lived in Halifax with her sister Jay. Her path later took her to Bermuda, Vancouver, and then back to Halifax. From 2003 to 2009, she worked as an administrative assistant for the RCMP in Dartmouth before returning home to care for her parents with characteristic compassion and devotion. Later, she worked at the libraries in Pictou County and as a medical transcriptionist.
Kerry’s life was illuminated by her deep love of the arts. Her passion for theatre began with community productions in Dartmouth and Halifax and remained a constant throughout her life. She could play most instruments she set her hands to and had particular affinity for the accordion, guitar, and fiddle. She was also an accomplished vocalist.
With courage and joy, she brought her creativity to the world stage. She travelled to New York and the Edinburgh Fringe to perform her one-woman musical, Kitty’s Bound for Broadway. Before her passing, she had revised the play into a larger production and had mounted it in venues across Nova Scotia.
Kerry carried a lightness of spirit, warmth, and enthusiasm, for which she will be dearly missed.
Special thanks to D.S. Crowell's Funeral Home, Rev. Mike Foley, and Valerie Mosher. Donations in Kerry's memory can be made to the Old Cemetery Fund in Moser River or charity of choice.
