Obituary of Jennifer Ann Logan
Please share a memory of Jennifer to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heartfelt sorrow to announce that Jennifer Ann Logan, age 48, passed away peacefully
on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from her fearless battle of cancer, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, in Truro, NS, with loved ones by her side. Born in Sheet Harbour on July 23, 1977, of Sober Island, Nova Scotia, where Jennifer loved spending time baking and making meals with her mother, going out in the boat fishing and exploring on the many local islands with her father, and walking to Pond Beach to watch and listen to the waves with whoever was home. In 2017, she moved to Upper Kennetcook with her partner, Stephen, and cherished her time there helping to raise her three step children, picnics at Burntcoat Head Park, bass fishing and taking care of her adored cats; Tootsie, Chester, Roxy, Cuddles and Chico as well as her cute budgie bird, Pikachu. In 2023, Jennifer discovered that she had a talent and love of painting with acrylics both of people and landscapes. Jennifer was able to produce many creations for us to cherish. Throughout Jennifer’s short life she has worked at a few places such as cleaning homes, she worked at Foodland, Pics N Flics Guardian, and then Anthony’s Grocery before her diabetes and then cancer made it hard for her to work. Jennifer was a devoted partner, stepmother, sister, daughter and friend who all will greatly miss her bright smile, her sense of humour, her infectious laugh, her own authentic self, her love of family and her generous spirit. Jennifer will also be remembered for how very courageous and strong she was when faced and dealing with her diagnosis. She is survived by her partner Stephen White of Upper Kennetcook; her stepchildren Hunter, Kali and Jaxon White all of Upper Kennetcook; her father Harold M. Logan of Sober Island; her in-laws Leon and Sheila White of Upper Kennetcook; her siblings; Patricia (Jeff) Cooke of Timberlea, NS; Elizabeth (Dan) MacKinnon of St. Thomas, ON; Vernon (Denise) Logan of Sober Island, NS; and Shawna (Matt) Carey of St. Thomas, ON, her two brother-in-laws, Michael (Trudi) White of Kennetcook and Jamie White of Upper Kennetcook. She will also be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews; Crystal, Justin, Cody, MacKenzie, Dylan, Emily, Tristen, Nathan, Evan, Lincoln, Elenor & Oakley and by her beloved friends Joleen Brown & Helen Hilchie. Jennifer was predeceased by her mother Sadie Marie (Harnish) Logan, her paternal grandparents John William and Mildred (Harnish) Logan and maternal grandparents Harold Renwick and Dora (Westhaver) Harnish, all of Sober Island, NS. Cremation has taken place, funeral will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church on Sober Island with a reception to follow at the Sheet Harbour Legion downstairs. Private family committal will be at a later date.
