Obituary of James Eric Lawlor
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother James Eric Lawlor, 84, of Sheet Harbour. He was the oldest son and one of 12 children of the late Harry & Martha (Fahie) Lawlor. He moved to Halifax in his younger years, but returned to Sheet Harbour, where he lived out the rest of his life. He lived alone and always wanted to have his independence, which he did up to his passing. Jim’s passion was flea marketing, doing word find puzzles, and scratching tickets which he did faithfully everyday. He had many friends in Sheet Harbour, everyone knew him and he always chatted when he would see them on his travels “around the Harbour”. Another link from our family chain has been broken, we will miss you dearly brother Jim, our hearts are filled with sadness, but you are at rest now, until we all are together again. He is survived by brother Maxwell Lawlor of Jeddore, sisters; Anne Lawlor of Sackville, Rose Lawlor (Normand Arseneau) of Tracadie N.B., Diane Publicover of Dartmouth, Debby Kelly (Steven) of Pine Grove Shubenacadie. Predeceased by brothers; Harry Thomas Lawlor Junior, Paul Lawlor, sisters; Elizabeth Rhyno, Juanita Hubley, Yvonne Lawlor and Barbara Lawlor. A graveside committal will be held Friday January 9, 2026 at 2pm in St. Peters RC Church Cemetery, Sheet Harbour, Archbishop Martin Currie officiating. A reception will follow at the Sheet Harbour Legion.
