Rudolph, Thomas Campbell- (1950-2025) Entered this world during a snow storm on February 1. Born in the family home in Moose Head. He was the third eldest child of the late K. Stowell and Edith (Millar) Rudolph. Tom grew up in Harrigan Cove, living with his grandparents, Winton Ernest (Woody) and Annie Ethel (Turner) Rudolph. He spent almost fourteen years ruling the roost in his Harrigan community under the watchful eyes of his parents, grandparents and neighbours. Being a mischievous boy and the apple of his grandfather’s eye, Tom could do no wrong! His education included attending the Harrigan Cove School, Eastern Consolidated, Duncan MacMillan and then off to Community College in Dartmouth. He enjoyed sports, playing ball and winning the 1964 Nova Scotian Bantam championship in Halifax. He was a passionate baseball fan for his beloved New York Yankees and cheered on the Chicago Black Hawks for hockey! Tom married his high school sweetheart, Valerie (Nee: Gammon). Together they raised three children: a daughter Tracey Dawn, two sons: Terry Dale and Richard Thomas (Ricky). Tom ran his trucking business operating it until his recent illness. Tom was a natural story teller who captivated his audience with numerous adventures. As a longtime member of the Lions Club, he held the position of District Governor and King Lion, where he passionately spearheaded campaigns to support the CNIB. Tom passed peacefully on Friday, December 5 from the V.G. Hospital, Halifax, with family by his side. A devoted husband, father, and friend, his kind-hearted nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, especially his wife, Valerie of 57 years, his children, and two sisters: Jeannie (Brian) and Molly (Gordon): Brothers: Kennie, Ronnie (Veronica) Robert (Rhonda), Gordie, Henry (Katherine) and Doug. In-laws including Keith (Kay), Patricia, William (Carol) and Shirley. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents, brother Reg, in laws: Jean & Renee, Nina & Bert Gammon, Maxine (Erb), Audrey (Fred), Ethel (Joey), Lorna, Henry, Laurie and Dougie. Cremation is under the direction of Crowell’s Funeral Home, Sheet Harbour. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held in the spring with specific details to be shared at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lions Club in Tom’s name. https://lionsofcanadafundforlcif.ca/donate.php
