Obituary of Dennis Arthur Jewers

Jewers, Dennis Arthur, 61 of Dartmouth and formally of Ecum Secum, we are extremely saddened to announce the passing of Dennis Arthur Jewers on November 18, 2025 after a long battle with cancer, with his loving common law partner of 36 years by his side, as well as many family and friends. Born in Sheet Harbour August 12, 1964 he was a son of the late Dennis & Lillian (Salter) Jewers. Dennis worked for the ILA 269 for 36 plus years. Dennis was a lover of all animals from dogs and cats to birds, he enjoyed going for walks, driving, hunting, sports, playing crib and travel. Survived by his partner Paula Nauffts, sisters; Denise Burns, Sheet Harbour, Darlene Jewers (Jack Rankin), Port Hawksberry, Lisa Parent (Jerry Coakley), Moncton, brother in-law Randy Fleet, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, brother in-law Norman, sister in-law Laurie and her son Alex. Predeceased by in-laws Leslie & Bertha Nauffts. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sheet Harbour Legion (upstairs) December 6 from 12-3. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dartmouth General 4 East for their compassion during Dennis’ stay at the hospital.
