Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Levy
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Elizabeth Levy announce her passing on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Sherbrooke at the age of 88.
Born on September 19, 1937, in North River, Margaret was the daughter of the late Perly and Ruby (Benedict) Lynds. She spent her life in quiet devotion to her family and her community, making a warm and welcoming home in Sheet Harbour Passage, where she lived most of her life.
A homemaker in the truest sense, Margaret poured her love into everything she did—whether it was knitting intricate patterns, completing a challenging puzzle or cryptoquote, tending to her garden, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and shared that joy freely with those around her.
Margaret was a devoted member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church, where her faith was a steady foundation throughout her life. Her kindness, patience, and strength were deeply rooted in that faith, and she will be remembered for her quiet grace and unwavering love.
She is survived by her loving children, Terry (Bonnie) and Heather (Ginette); cherished grandchildren Jeremy (Crystal), Brandon (Jocelyn), and Danielle (John); and adored great-grandchildren Arthur, Anabelle, Tristian, Charlotte Rae, and Aulden.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Cyril; her daughter, Valerie; and many dear siblings who went before her.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 2 from 7-9pm in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour.
