Obituary of Kendall Dale Veinotte

Veinotte, Kendall Dale Passed peacefully on September 6,2025 at Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born in Dartmouth on April 3, 1943 to Frederick and Clara Veinotte (Pye) growing up in Ecum Secum. In the 1960’s Dale and his brother ventured off to Ontario to pick tobacco. During his time there he met his future wife Evelyn Myerson at a YM-YWHA dance. On September 3rd 1966 they married in Toronto. In 1970 Dale moved the family to Nova Scotia. Dale worked as a truck driver for his family in Porters Lake, Maritime Paper Products in Burnside and as an EMT working for Ecum Secum Ambulance until his retirement. During his retirement years he enjoyed going lobster fishing, piling winter wood or watching WWE with his best friend Teddy. Dale was most proud of his two grandsons Jake and Jordan. Dale is survived by his daughter Josie, grandsons Jake (Nicole) and Jordan. Great grandchildren Novalee and Wesley. Sister Betty, brother Lloyd (Dorothea). Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn, daughter in infancy, brothers Frederick (in infancy), Terry and sister Crystal. The family extends much gratitude for the loving care and comfort provided by the entire staff at Harbourview Lodge, not just for Dale but also his immediate family. Angela, Sophie, Amanda and Josie from the Birches for their kindness and Dr MacDonald for his care. Visitation will be held at DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour on Saturday September 13 from 2-4,with prayers at 3, abiding by Dales wishes, cremation has taken place with his ashes being scattered over the ocean where he was most happy, at a later date.
