Obituary of Mary Jean Comeau

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Jean Comeau (Landry). She passed peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Nova Scotia, at the age of 76. Jean was born on June 7, 1949, in Chatham, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Joseph Landry and Viola (Herbert) Landry of Chatham, New Brunswick. Jean was the loving mother of three children, Bill Acker (Margrit), Sandy Acker (John) and Chrissy Page (Mark). She will be deeply missed by her many grandchildren: Corey Acker (Christy), John Church (Carley), Jimmy Church, Ashley Beck (Darcy), Lee Church, Russell Church, Steven Deredin, and Thomas Church. She also leaves behind four cherished great grandchildren: Hunter, Sawyer, John, and Lena-Jean. Jean is predeceased by her siblings Joan, Joseph, Dorothy, Carl, David, Ronnie, and Little Billy. Mary Jean loved life to the fullest. Whether it was a trip to the beach or a family gathering, she gave it her all. Tireless in her efforts to support her family and friends, she was always ready to help-whether it be family, a friend, or even a stranger in need. She also had a deep love for animals and w a s devoted to her many pets, often rescuing and caring for those in need of a home. Jean expressed her creativity through painting, crafts, and woodworking, she excelled at everything she put her mind to. Her love and nurturing spirit can never be replaced. Until we meet again. There will be no visitation, and burial will be for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society (www.alzheimersociety.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
