OICKLE MERRILL LAWRENCE-82 Beaver Harbour, died Monday July 28 , 2025 in Aberdeen

Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Beaver Harbour Feb. 21, 1943 he was the son of the late

Lawrence & Viola ( Whitman) Oickle. Merrill lobster fished with his brother Elwin in his

earlier years on the boat Bonnie O, they worked in the woods cutting pulp, then Merrill did

carpentry work until his retirement., He loved going to the camp with his family and friends

hunting and fishing. He enjoyed the simple life puttering in his work shed. Survived by

sisters Bonnie Whitman, Wendy MacLellen both of Port Du erin, many cousins, nieces and

nephews. Predeceased by his wife Sheila, sisters Beryl, Audrey, Jean, brothers Austin and

Elwin. Visitation Saturday, Aug. 2 from 11:00am until 1:30 all in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral

Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Graveside committal service will be held at

2:00PM in the Beaver Harbour Cemetery. Rev. Mike Foley officiating.
