I met Dougal in the early 1970's working at Fisheries and we'd remained friends ever since. Although we have seen each other for years, we always kept in touch. I knew something was wrong when I didn't receive my annual birthday card... I'm so sorry it took me this long to discover the bad news. Without him there is another hole in the universe. He was a great guy and I truly miss him.

Uncle dougal was my favorite uncle. My kids always loved visiting with him when we went to "the camp" rob and his girlfriend were visiting pei before uncle passed and we had the opportunity to share some of our memories of uncle Doug, with his girlfriend and she shared some of hers with me. Rest easy Uncle, you were always on my mind and will still be. I'm sorry I didn't get to say good bye but next time I'm in NS I will be making a special trip to visit your resting place and saying my goodbyes. Love you more. Joanne Ennis-Richard
