It was always a pleasure to see Wayne. Regardless of the circumstances, he would greet you with a smile that lit up his face, as though you were the person he most wanted to see that day. Gerry and I were often aware of his kindnesses to others and his love of his church. I'm sure his death has been a big loss to his community.

I will miss you Wayne for my ride to TGMHS Meetings this Summer. You always brought a little stool to help me into your truck. I will miss the joy of taking you to lunch for your Birthday. I will miss your nor being there when a bulky delivery is made that I am unable to get into the house by myself. I do not know a man who loved his wife as deeply as you did Marie. How you both got such so much joy and pleasure from dancing. Your years with Marie will be complete, now that you have rejoined her in Heaven.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
