Holman, James Albert David- 72, Watt Section, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2025. Born on May 31, 1952 in Sheet Harbour he was a son of the late Baker & Florence (Munro) Holman. Jim worked in the silviculture business for 25 years, he then was a snow plow driver for Dept. of Transportation in Spry Bay for 27 years. Jim loved putting his gardens in and sharing the products with friends and family. He looked forward to his family vacations to PEI, they enjoyed staying at the KOA in Cavendish, where he became close with Vic and Kay. Jim enjoyed raising chickens as a hobby and sharing the eggs with family and friends. Jim loved his grandchildren; he enjoyed spending time with them and making things for them. He loved making cinnamon rolls and bread for his friends and family. Jim was a very giving man. Survived by his wife of 52 years Linda (Stewart), children; Laura Lee Holman, Jamie Troy (Kelly Jones) Holman, Joni (Adrian) Nauss, grandchildren; Matthew, Casey, Ben, Alexander, siblings; Minnie, Janet, Thelma, Frank, Michael and Johnny. Predeceased by siblings; Scott, Alex, Elmer, Charles, Raymond, Annie, Harold, Gilles, Dennis, Garnett, Richard, Margaret, Mary and Stanley. Everyone will miss his sense of humour and stories, true or not. Funeral service will be held Saturday May 24 at 2pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 23844 Highway 7. Reception to follow at the Sheet Harbour Legion Branch 58. Any overflow can proceed to the Legion.For anyone that can't attend in person and wants to join in the service via zoom. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
