In Loving Memory of Emery Reginald Cameron

July 27th, 1942 – March 17th, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandad, brother and friend, Emery who passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 17th, 2025, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Reginald and Marjorie Cameron.

Born in Spry Harbour, NS, he was a devoted father and grandad whose supporting nature and love left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a dedicated teacher who started his career at a one room schoolhouse in Spry Bay, NS right after graduating from high school, then furthering his education at the Nova Scotia Teachers College and Acadia University, before moving on the teach at Duncan MacMillan High School in Sheet Harbour, NS for the rest of his career. Offering guidance and support, he was a student favorite for many who he taught.

His love for the outdoors, fishing, golf, softball, music, and driving his fast cars brought him joy and to those around him.

Emery is lovingly remembered by his children, Craig (Trish) and Jeff (Marcela) and his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Dylan, Colby, Alex, and Sofia, who brought immense joy to his life. His conversations with his grandchildren are his legacy and source of inspiration that will live on our hearts forever. He was the oldest brother of Faith Young (Bob), Peggy McAloney (Dara), Miles Cameron (JoAnn), Sherry Parks (Steven), and Hazen.

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th at 2:00 pm in St. James Anglican Church in Spry Bay. Burial to follow at the Boutilliers Rd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Spry Bay in his memory.

Though he is no longer with us, his love and spirit will remain with his family forever. Rest in peace, Dad, grandad, brother. You will be deeply missed.
