I just found out this morning that Gloria passed away suddenly on September 8. I am so sorry to learn this. I used to see her fb posts, and her lovely photography, but have been on facebook rarekt in the past year. My husband and I surprised her with a visit at the Black Duck Inn several years ago when we were travelling down the Eastern Shore. She was always happy to have company and welcomed us warmly. She was a woman of many talents, and a very caring and vibrant person. We send our condolences to the family. Mark is the only family member we have met. We sent our condolences to Mark and to all the family.

Gloria and I met at the Black Duck. I had reached out on FB looking for anyone who knew where Sober Island was and who might know of the Logan and Harnish families of Nova Scotia. Gloria responded and we booked 3 nights at the Black Duck. Gloria showed us around the area including Sober Island. We visited the little church there and the cemetery. There were many of my late Logan relatives there. It turned out that Gloria and I were distant cousins. Since then we've kept in touch via FB. I always enjoyed seeing Gloria's photos and reading her healthy recipes. I will really miss you lovely lady. May you rest in peace. (Nancy North)
